Tanning Tips & Moroccan Tan Review | AD

Hey dolls,

Happy Friday & I hope your all having a lovely start to this bank holiday weekend. I wanted to share one of my favourite tans with you. Looking out the window now it looks like our summer is over so what better time to share my top tanning tips & a review on the Moroccan Tan I've been loving for so long.

I started using Moroccan tan about 2 years ago, I first received it from the lovely gals at the Publicity Loft and loved it so much I picked up a few bottles at the beauty show.  I remember what caught my attention initially was the airbrush spray tan. It wasn't your average airbrush tan bottle,  it was very luxurious and the product was much bigger than most Airbrush tans.

The first time I tried it I fell in love with the scent, it reminded me of being on holidays.  When applying the airbrush tan I spray it directly onto my skin and used a mitt to blend it in evenly. When using the Instant Exotic mousse  I apply it onto a mitt then blend it evenly over my body.

A word of warning when using the airbrush spray, don't use your mothers best white towels, it tends to have a little over spray so applying it in the backroom on a surface that cleans easily is best :) I love tanning in the shower so I can just rinse the tan away afterward.

Here is a before & after using the Exotic Mousse

I love the colour this tan develops too, It's a dark shade but looks very natural & wears off really well. You're not left it patchy tan like with other tans.  The exotic mousse is infused with Argan and Rosehip oils and enriched with a blend of vitamins to achieve intense skin nourishment and a longer lasting tan.

My top 3 tanning tips
  • Keep your skin exfoliated, fake tan sticks to any dry patches on the skin. I always like to use a body scrub or exfoliating gloves prior to tanning and also in between to help the fake tan wear off evenly.
  • Keep your skin moisturised the days after you initially tan. I use a body oil or body butter to keep my skin hydrated and it helps the fake tan to last longer.
  • Make sure you scrub all the old tan off before reapplying. I know its an obvious tip but most people apply tan over old tan and the layers build up and your tan can look mucky or dirty.

I hope you enjoyed this little review and if you haven't heard of Moroccan Tan check out their website here

Moroccan Tan is exclusive to salons & they also offer spray tans.

Happy Tanning,

My Hair Transformation

Hey dolls,

I wanted to share my hair transformation with you all because I've been inundated with emails since having my Gold Fever extensions applied last week. I had mine applied in Zero One Salon, I've been going out to Greystones for the last couple of months to have my hair coloured and cut. Finally, after months of toying with the idea of getting my extensions back in, I decided to just go for it. Long hair always makes me feel so much better about myself. I dont know how, but it gives me so much more confidence and makes my face look slimmer, haha!! If thats even possible?!

I had my hair cut into a bob last winter, I wanted it short for ages! I always do it, cut my hair off and then regret it a few months later!!! Remind me next time never to cut my hair again.

I’ve had extensions before so I know how much maintenance is involved but the hairstyle possibities are endless. You can style them how you please, use heated tools on them, wash them as you would normally and they always just look amazing.

I am useless when it comes to styling my own hair, I just cant do it. French plaits & GHD curls are about all I can do. Luckily, Dominique is unreal at every hairstyle so she does my hair most of the time. Click here to check out her blog

So most of you want to know more about the actual hair extensions I got. I had heard so much about Gold Fever prior to my own consultation. Lots of my friends have them and higly recommended them. I knew they were the best of the best when it comes to hair extensions.

They are 100% real human hair that is sourced from Indian temples, so basically, I have princess hair!!! :) They are bonded into your hair with protein bonds that don't damage your natural hair. The bonds are teeny tiny, you would never see them in my hair. They shed slightly, like your own hair would naturally. They need a little bit more TLC, you must use sulphate free shampoo, use a soft bristle extension hair brush and make sure none of your bonds get wrapped around or tangled.

Gold Fever are a premium brand of hair extensions and cost a little more than your average extensions but It’s only because they are such a high quality hair. The best way to know exactly what you need done and how much it is going to cost is to pop into the salon and have a consultation with one of the experts. If you give Zero One a call and book in with Suzie or Edel, they will advise what is best for you. They range from €595-€995 depending on how many bonds you need to get in.

Here is a look at my hair just before the extensions where applied.

And here is my hair after. It makes such a difference. I am obsessed with them.

My process took a little longer because I had such a blunt cut on my hair and I’ve such thick hair. The gals in Zero One looked after me, they are both amazing hairdressers and I felt so confident that my hair would be fabulous after they got their hands on me. I was right, I am complete obsessed with it.

I had my hair blow dried by Dominique’s sister Sarah last Saturday for Mags hen party, she constantly styles clients hair with a variety of hair extensions and said that mine where THE BEST she’s ever seen. She said they dried so easily & felt like silk. I was delighted hearing that from another professional that had nothing to do with my transformation process & Sarah is brutally honest so I know I can trust her :) haha.

If you have any more questions you can comment below or contact Zero One & Gold Fever.

I hope you love my hair as much as I do :)

My Makeup Favourites of June & July

Hey dolls,

This week has been one of the tougher weeks, I just hit the 30 week pregnancy mark and indigestion & heart burn are taking its toll. I wanted to take my mind off all of that and share my current makeup faves with you all, makeup just makes me happy!

Nars "Orgasm" a classic and has been my fave for years now, it is the perfect blush pink shade with gold shimmer ( Not TOO much shimmer though )
Check it out Here

LancĂ´me Juicy Shakers, especially "Melly Melon" are my current favourite glosses.
My lips have become extremely dry lately due to the weather,AC, and the pregnancy and these have been my best friends.
They are so hydrating, not too pigmented but give a lovely sheen to the lips. I also love the sponge applicator, its so different from anything i've used before.
Check them out here

Loving the No7 Beautifully Defined Contour Kit in light/medium , its brand new and so gorgeous. The contour shade is extremely pigmented and blends out beautifully, but be warned, a little goes a long way! Less is always more :)

Isadora Bronzing Powder in "Golden" is just divine!
I randomly pulled it out of my beauty drawer one day a few months back and it hasn't left my hand since.
I use it in my freelance kit and on myself. I'm yet to find someone it doesn't suit.
Not only is it stunning to look at, it's  bloody huge, literally the size of my face. It looks shimmery in the pan but shows up on the skin matte.
It is a Must-Have for me.

The new Benefit Ka-Brow! This product has changed my brow game forever!!!
I thought I was happy with how I did my brows before but nothing compares to doing them with Ka-Brow! It's a gel formulation, really soft and applies so easily.
I like to spray my brow brush with a hydrating spray like fix plus or the makeup forever setting spray and use that with this bad boy, it makes filling in my brows 100 times easier. I always struggle to get the shape and definition I want. Not anymore :)

The new Shiseido Synchro Skin foundation is a revolutionary new foundation that synchronises with each individual skin type to uncover its ultimate beauty potential.
I've never used a foundation before that was so light weight but gave such good coverage. It's such a fluid consistency, blends out so fast & seamlessly but is very build-able at the same time.
I apply two light layers to achieve the full coverage finish I love. I haven't used anything else on my skin the past few weeks and its safe to say I adore this foundation.

The last product I've been loving is the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette. I was browsing Beauty Bay one evening and I stumbled across this palette, without a second thought it was in my basket and I was checking out.
It looked so divine on the website and when it arrived it was even nicer. I'm a sucker for warm tones, cranberries, burnt oranges & browns!  It's only €22 ( Ultimate Bargin) & such high quality.
It was my first purchase from Zoeva but it definitely won't be my last!

Here is a makeup tutorial I created using the Cocoa Blend Palette.

Let me know of some of your favourites, not that I need new makeup haha!

Happy Shopping,

My June Favourites

Hey dolls,

Hard to believe we are in July already. How the time if flying by, I only wish we were having a nicer summer. Today I wanted to share some of the products I've been using and loving last month. If you follow me on snapchat you will see me using these products a lot, some are new and some are old.

I'm the biggest fan of oils, all types of oils, especially for my body and face. I started using this REN Moroccan Rose Otto Ultra - Moisture Body Oil ( God that was a mouth full) about 2 weeks ago and I LOVE it. It smells amazing and feel so good on my skin. I use it every night after a warm shower and by morning my skin is super soft. It's not a very sticky oil, it feels lovely and really soaks into your skin. You can buy Ren products here.

I have been reaching for these 3 Bare Minerals products every night and my skin has thanked me for it every morning. It feels so soft, hydrated and firm. I love all BM skincare, it's amazing stuff.

This shower gel is literally the smell of summer. It is amazing and wakes me and my skin up every morning and leaves that gorgeous coconut cocktail scent on my skin.

An oldie but a goodie, Benefit Hoola is one of my favourite products for contouring, it is the perfect shade with no shimmer. Ive used it everyday in June.

This liquid eyeliner from LancĂ´me is brand new and I've been loving it. Its liquid is jet black and dries super fast and the handle moves to help with easy application.

I am a huge fan of Physicians Formula face powders, they are my faves. This one doesn't disappoint either. They add extra coverage and keep my makeup in place all day.

This Chloe "Love" perfume has been my fave all month. It's my summer scent, really girlie and fresh.

I would love to know what your faves are and what I need to try out.
