Cosy winter wardrobe inspiration

Winter 2017 has been creeping in slowly and finally, we can all start dressing in our big cosy jumpers and knits.

This is such a gorgeous time of year and an exciting time to play around with fashion trends.

If you have been thinking that you need a few warmer pieces in your wardrobe look no further. Here are some gorgeous bits that would be perfect for keeping cosy on the winter days.

This beautiful cosy jumper from & Other Stories ticks so many boxes. Most importantly this jumper will keep you warm and cosy but it is also really stylish. Cosy clothes don't have to mean that you look slouchy, this jumper is chic with the slight checked pattern and the different blocks of colour. This is a super buy, it would be fab with a nice skirt, tights and boots. You can shop this jumper here.

Who else buys a knit every year that you just wear over and over again? While statement wardrobe pieces are always good, it can be nice to buy yourself something brand new and #treatyourself! How gorgeous is this pink bardot knit jumper. You can feel cosy and slouchy but still be so on trend, and this gives you a reason to keep your fake tan topped up throughout the winter months! Shop this from boohoo here.

For something to be cosy it doesn't always have to be chunky and knit. Imagine how snug it would be to be tucked up in this gorgeous check mac coat. The colour, cut and print is classy while the length, buttons and high collar make this super cosy. Shop this beauty from ASOS here.

If you are a fan of oversized clothes and let's face it most of us like a cosy oversized shirt or jumper every now and then, this brown knitted drop shoulder jumper could be the perfect addition to your wardrobe. The colour is perfect for this time of year and this is a simple addition to your wardrobe that would go a long way. Shop it from Missguided here.

This Topshop faux fur coat is for the fashion-forward gals among us. Stand out from the crowd with this beauty. Fur is huge every single winter and this year is no different. People are becoming bolder and braver with fashion than ever before, especially when the gap between high street and designer is being bridged year on year. If you are up for rocking this beautiful coat you can shop it here.

We all need a little love from a cosy cardigan now and then. This wide rib one from Topshop has large pockets which is always a bonus and just looks great with all black underneath making getting ready easy but still cosy and stylish. Shop it here.

The jumper dress is a style that some people are afraid to try but really this can become a go-to look for anyone. Bare legs might not be an ideal option but with tights and thigh high boots, this simple jumper dress can transform into a well put together outfit. Jumper dresses can often be very baggy so a belt at the waist can sinch you in. Throw on a chunky scarf and you are ready to rock. Shop this dress here (it comes in lots of colours!).

Happy Shopping,

Grace X

Sienna's Nursery

Hey dolls,

At long last I'm finally able to share pictures of Sienna's nursery with you all. We had some complications with her dolls house and shelves. Apparently the walls between our room and hers are quite thin and Chris drilled a hole right through yesterday while he was trying to mount the dolls house on the wall. I was devastated as I really wanted the house up and for the shelves to be in her little reading corner.

When In Rome

Hey dolls,

If you follow my snapchat you will see I was in Rome last week with my Mam. I surprised her with a trip for her birthday because she's always wanted to go, she said ''I have to visit Rome before I die'' haha. When booking I booked two separate flights as it was working out cheaper that way. I wanted to share exactly what we did as I was getting a lot of questions about it.

The BabyZen YoYo Stroller Review

Hey Dolls,

I am finally getting around to reviewing the Babyzen Yoyo Stroller that we brought to Marbella with us. As most of you know (if you follow me on Snapchat) we had our first family vacay this summer. I was quite nervous to travel with Sienna so I made sure to get organised and prepared well in advance.

In this post I just wanted to focus on the Babyzen Yoyo Stroller because I had so many messages asking if it was worth it and how we found it. To be honest I haven't switched back to our Joolz stroller since we've been home. It is so light, compact and easy to use that I haven't needed to use our other pram.

Festival Fashion | Girlie & Grunge

Hey Dolls,

Festival fashion is one of those styles that Irish gals do oh so well! Some rock boho vibes, others choose neon and glitter for festivals but one thing we all have in common for festival season is that we love to look our best and take it as an opportunity to express ourselves.

A festival is a time to wear bright colours, the summer is in and it is time to forget all your worries. Let your hair down with your bestie and have a ball feeling and looking your best!

Barefoot Under The Palm Trees | What I Wore

Hey Dolls,

On Monday I headed to the National Botanic Gardens to shoot this look. I've never been and it's so beautiful. I was blown away by how stunning the gardens were. I will definitely be visiting more now that Sienna is a little older. We had such a nice picnic under the trees and there were squirrels running around, it was just lovely.

Our Marbella Holiday - What I Wore

Hey dolls!

We're just back from Marbella, we had the best time! It was our first family holiday and a big group of us flew to Spain for a friends wedding. The whole time was so chilled and relaxed. I got the chance to catch up with lots of old friends, had the craic and was really able to unwind! It really was so much fun and so nice to travel with such a big group of friends. It was lovely to spend the week with Chris and Sienna, we had so much fun with her and she was the perfect age for going away. Each day she is getting funnier and her personality is so cute. She is such a charmer and was a big hit with everyone on holidays.

Hey Dolls,

If you saw my snapchat & Insta stories this week you will see I'm collaborating with The Baby Box. They are an Ireland brand and are celebrating their first year in business. The idea of the baby box has been around for 75 years in Finland and has now made its way to Ireland. It provides a safe sleeping environment for infants and studies have shown that this tradition has helped Finland to achieve one of the lowest infant mortality rates in the world!

My Top Products For The Summer | ad

Hey Dolls,

I'm sorry its taken me this long to share what makeup & beauty products I used while I was away in Spain last weekend. I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day recently. I had the most amazing four days away in Torremolinos with my best friends celebrating Gill's hen party.

Everyone made a joke about the size of my suitcases but I'm not one to pack light haha. I like to bring everything and the kitchen sink with me, all the makeup and beauty products I need.... and a little more just in case :)

These products were the ones I used the most but I did pack a lot more. Maybe I'll film a Youtube video or a Facebook live before I head to Marbella and talk you through everything I'm bringing. Let me know in the comments if you would like to see one of those videos.

As you all know I work very closely with Meagher's Pharmacy and have done for almost 2 years now, god where has the time gone. I love working with Meagher's because they stock so many of my hero products and brand I absolutely love. Their online store is huge and each time I visit it I find more and more products I love.

I wanted to share my most used products and I will link them all so you can shop this post too. You can find all of these products and a whole lot more over on www.meagherspharmacy.ie

These are the two SPF's I brought with me, I used the Bioderma Aquafluide 50 on my face and it was so lovely and such a light consistency, it really protected my face. For body I used the La Roche Posay and it was amazing, it didn't leave a tacky sticky feeling on my skin. It was so lightweight.

If you haven't tried a dry oil yet then the NUXE oil, It's so beautiful on the skin and smells amazing. It gives the most stunning glow. I love to spray it down the fronts of my legs and onto my chest. It's such a holiday staple.

I am obsessed with this makeup bag and the design of it, It's so simple but effective and I don't know why a brand hasn't done it before. It is two makeup bags joined together, one for your day time makeup and one for your night time makeup. Super easy and convenient for travel or for someone who likes to top their makeup up on the go.

The makeup bag brand Sassie Doll have lots more gorgeous designs and styles you can check them out here

I keep my makeup quiet light and natural because of the warm weather and I just prefer the "less is more" look lately.

The Dr Hauschka tinted moisturiser won an Image award in this years and I've been dying to try it ever since. It didn't disappoint, it's super lightweight but gave me just the right amount of coverage I needed. It also left my skin feeling hydrated and very dewy however I needed to set it with a powder.

I use the Blank Canvas Cosmetics F24 everyday for foundation, its amazing at giving a flawless finish but also buffing foundation in easily.

I don't feel awake unless I have mascara on and this mini from Code Beautiful was the perfect product to throw in my bag and top up my lashes after hours in the sun. I wanted to keep my skin nice and sun kissed and the Rimmel Natural Bronzer is such a fab product. It's waterproof so great for holidays and also has an SPF 15.

I love a body spray to freshen up by the pool and nothing comes close to the Victoria Secrets Body Spray they smell amazing. I'm a big fan of roll on deodorants and Oonagh the owner of Meaghers recommended this Vichy one when I was looking for a new one, it didn't leave any white marks or stained my clothes and it dries really quickly.

I finally got myself a pair of Rosie's Aluxe sunnies in the style Barbados. They are just gorgeous and definitely my style of glasses. The bigger the better, especially after a night in the 24 hour square haha.

I hope you found this post helpful, We are heading away as a family this summer so I think I will do a similar post about what to pack for a baby. Let me know if that is something you want to see.

Johnson's Top-To-Toe Baby Bath Experiment | AD

Hey Dolls,

Johnson's asked me to put their Top to Toe baby bath to the test to see just how gentle it is. They asked me to conduct the rose petal test. They claim their Top To Toe baby bath is just as gentle on babies skin as water so I wanted to see how these two roses faired out when left overnight soaking in a jar with water and Top To Toe baby bath verses water and baby soap.

One rose was placed in a jar of water with 10mls of the Top To Toe baby bath, the second rose was placed in a jar of water and baby soap. I was intrigued to see how both roses got on.

After 24 hours I checked back with the roses. The one I left in the Top To Toe baby bath was perfect, a bright shade of pink, it looked like it had bloomed even more over night and very fresh. The Top To Toe baby bath had no effect on the rose.

The second rose that was left in the jar with baby soap didn't look so happy and fresh, the part of the rose that was submerged on the water had faded to a lighter pink, the petals had started to go brown and the rose itself had closed up. There was a big difference in the appearance of the two roses.

Babies skin is so soft and so sensitive when they are newborn that we need to use products that are so gentle on their skin it would be like using water itself. After trying out this rose petal test and seeing the results myself I would have no issue using Johnson's top to toe or recommending it to all of you.

It has also opened my eyes to how some baby soaps are not as gentle as they seem and the effects it could have on baby skin.

I hope you found this post as helpful as I did.

Momma On The Go

HeyDolls,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the bit of sunshine we're having. I wanted to share this look with you all and also how I manage to be on the go most day. I find it so important to be out and about and have my own independence especially now having Sienna.

From the first week she was born I made it my business to get out, even when Chris wanted me to stay home. I just needed to get the first car ride, that first walk out of the way. I wanted to feel confident moving her in and out of the car and getting my independence back before Chris went back to work.

I know its very hard to adjust to parenthood especially when your other half goes back to work. I think the longer you leave it to do those small things that scare you, they harder they seem. I loved being out and about with Sienna and being able to go to events and do the normal things I did before she was here.

After having a baby it's often a daunting time, hormones and emotions are at an all time high and it's not just you anymore, you have a tiny human to take care of. The last thing on your mind is packing up everything and the kitchen sink and heading to the local cafe for a cuppa. I know this might seem like nothing to most of you but for a new Mam this is a huge ordeal.

My advice is to just do the things scare you, put yourself out of your comfort zone, everything always seems more stressful than it really is. Oh and always give yourself an extra hour to get ready haha. you never know what might happen! Poo explosions, spit up, feeding time!

I love being out and about and being busy, it's just who I am. I also think it is good for the baby to be out and meeting people. It will help with later on when they begin to make strange. Sienna is usually great in every situations, I bring her to events and even meetings. I definitely put it down to bringing her with me when she was really young. My mam always says we are always off somewhere :)

I hope you found this post helpful, I will link the outfit below.
