Hey Ladies

Today I have a fashion fix post of all the hot trends and pieces the high street have to offer.

Duster coats are huge this season as is grey. I am loving this coat from topshop

I picked up these boots in black in Pennys yesterday and they were an absolute steal for only €18.

This shirt from river island is a typical me shirt. It is casual but still classy and I just love anything with a collar.

Black skinnies are a must for everyones wardrobe. This ripped high waists from topshop are a winner for me. Figure hugging & sexy

A huge trend that I am obsessing over this season is blanket wrap scarfs. Newlook have an unbelievable selection of amazing & affordable BWS's.

These are a few of my Faves

This last one is Forever21

Keeping with outerwear this leather jacket is my fave one from the high street shops. I love the detachable faux fur collar. It is a best seller for RI at the mo and loved by all.

This next outfit is my inspiration for this Saturday night. I was in RI today and fell in love with these cigarette trousers. I paired it with my black fedora hat to give it and edgy but cool vibe. This outfit is perfect for a night out when you want to look done up but not OTT

Here are just a few staple pieces that caught my eye and have been added to my shopping list for next pay day

I hope you enjoyed this weeks fashion fix

Love you lots

Hey girls

Autumn is here and I don't know about you but I am delighted. I love the cooler months and I am obsessed with Fall trends.

I love nothing more then layering clothes and putting my boots back on. As much as I love Summer, Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons. I love the bolder colours and patterns of fall and I love that you can wear more dramatic makeup.

This week I was very Autumn inspired with my makeup & fashion choices. As it was recently pay weekend I indulged in some new pieces for my A/W wardrobe.

This week I also decided to change up my look with a fab new hair style. I went for a very dark brown and I have had nothing my lovely compliments since I did. I definitely think that darker hair is fab in the Autumn months.

Tartan and check prints is such a huge trend for this A/W I am obsessed with this trend and have been wearing it in some shape of form nearly everyday this week.

I love that you can get away with wearing more makeup and darker coloured lips in the Autumn.

I have been sporting the Grungy/Girly look this month so far and loving it. I love mixing colours, patterns and styles to create the perfect outfit.

I am also obsessed with my new parker jacket from forever21. It goes with everything and its casual but stylish. This one is actually a mens jacket but I love that it is oversized on me.

Hope you enjoyed this fashion post.

Since putting up pictures of my weight loss journey on my Instagram I have been inundated with people asking me what I have done and if I have any tips for them.

I have planned to do a video of my weight loss and all the measures I have taken to lose the weight. To date I have lost 26lb/ 11.5kg and that was through a clean balanced diet.

The rule of weight loss is simple - 80% clean healthy diet 20%  exercise.

I must admit I haven't done much exercise at all to lose weight but I have an active lifestyle and work on my feet 40 hours a week.

Many people ask me what exactly a clean diet is. Basically if it doesn't grow on the ground and is processed by man it is not clean. All things natural are clean, anything else that has been processed you may as well be eating rubbish. Much of the processed foods (white bread/ cereals/ noodles/ sodas etc) are full of sugar which in turn turns straight into fat.

The image below always stays in mind and before I think of drinking a can of coke or a bottle of fruit juice I think of this

Rethink Before You Drink

Up until last year I never realised the huge amount of sugar that is in most of the food and drink we consume. One can of coke has 23grams of sugar which is a scary amount if you are gulping back a can a day. Sugar has no nutritional  benefits it is just stored as fat, causes diabetes and causes cellulite.

Sugar is found in nearly everything and even in foods that you may consider healthy like yogurts and granola. They too have a large sugar content so stir clear of them and try natural yogurt, greek style yogurt or my new favourite soya yogurt. It contains the lowest sugar and fat count and is delicious too. I substitute granola for oats and chia seeds and mix that over some berries in the morning.

Here is a look at a basic daily meal plan for me

Breakfast
  • mixed fresh berries covered in soya yogurt and topped with raw porridge oats and chia seeds
  • water/ tea or coffee

Snack

  • piece of fruit ie banana or apple
or

  • a handful of nuts (almonds are best)

Lunch
  • homemade soup
  • Scottish oat cakes with hummus
  • green tea

Dinner
  • lean meat or fish
  • quinoa
  • mixed veg

Supper
  • dark chocolate rich cake & a cup of tea

This is just an example of one day but I try to mix it up during the week so that I don't get bored. I will often have salads or an omelette for lunch or dinner. I do let myself have treats every now and again and I do indulge in a take away once in a while, if not I think id go completely bananas.

For me this isnt a diet it is a new lifestyle that I will be taking with me through out the rest of my life. I have cut out almost all white carbs and foods containing high sugar and fats and opt for healthier clean options.

Also another measure I have taken while on this weight loss journey was using belly and chin wraps and I feel they worked amazingly for me as you can see in the pictures below. You can read more about them and purchase them here

I also have been drinking a detox tea from a brand called Your Tea. You can read more about them here - YourTea I was using the tiny teatox which aids in weight loss and helps with bloating. I found it excellent and will carry on drinking it as part of my daily routine.

If you have any more questions leave them below and I will answer them in my upcoming video

I hope you all will join me on this new clean and healthy lifestyle journey

The month of July has been a month of a lot of new favourite beauty & makeup products for me. I love to try out and test new products and this month I tried a lot.

Firstly I am going to start with something that doesn't generally feature in my favourites - Fake tan. The reason I don't wear fake tan is because I have quiet sallow skin but as I was helping out at an event last month I wanted to have a bit of a sun kissed glow. It had been so long since I purchase fake tan but I had heard nothing but good things about Cocoa Brown Tan, I knew I had to test it out myself. I hadn't a clue what type of tan to pick up from there range of tans but opted for the Night to Day tan. I also picked up the mitt applicator to go with the tan.

The night before I headed to Galway I applied an even layer of the mousse tan to my entire body. The application was so easy and the tan glided onto my skin. It gave immediate colour and applied very evenly. The was not strong fake tan smell although I must admit I do like the smell of fake tan :) The next morning I woke and felt like a bronzed goddess (haha ok not quiet the goddess but I did feel great) A tan always makes me feel more confident, Who is with me on that one? I noticed how natural the tan looked and I certainly was not tangoed. I showered and was left with a lovely natural glow. I was so impressed with the tan that I have been using it ever since and applying it weekly. I have had many complements on it and even had a customer in work stop and ask me what tan I was wearing. I will definitely be trying more of the Cocoa Brown range. I've heard amazing things about the Though Stuff so I think I will add that to my shopping list.

The next Favourite is a new moisturiser that Suzanne Jackson (SoSueMe) gave me while we were in Galway. It is from an Irish brand that is based in Galway. It is the Kinvara Rosehip Day Cream. I have been using this product for just over a month now and it was love at first application haha. I instantly feel in love with the scent, it is laced in Rosehip, Citrus Limon & Lavender. This moisturiser is a anti-ageing formula which helps leaves the skin moisturised an plump. It gives great hydration to the skin and primes the skin. you can purchase this day cream and check out what other great products Kinvara has to offer here - buy here I cant wait to try more of their stuff.

Keeping with skincare I am going to tell you about an eye cream I have been using and loving the past few months. It is from Boots and it is their own brand vitamin E gentle eye cream. I picked this eye cream up when I ran out of my last one and wanted something that would really hydrate my eyes and firm the skin. This eye cream as done just that. The other thing I love about this eye cream is that it has an SPF of 15 which you don't normally find in an eye cream. You can buy this eye cream here - buy here

The next favourite of mine is this gorgeous mint green nail polish from Wet N Wild. This brand is new to the Irish market and I have to say I am loving it. You can find Wet n Wild in most Pennys and Dunnes Store. It is such an inexpensive top quality brand. I had heard amazing things about this brand from fellow American YouTubers and had to get my paws on it when it hit the Irish shelves. I wasn't disappointed and I am loving the nail polish range. I painted my nails with this gorgeous mint green colour and no joke this bad boy stayed on my nails for a week with out clipping. I was so impressed. The colour pay off and longevity of this polish is amazing for such a low price. Girls please get to your butt near a store and pick one up. You can also find it online here - buy here

Sticking to makeup is an oldie but a goodie. This highlighter was pushed to the back of my makeup collection and it was only when I was reorganising my drawers did I rediscover it again. It is a beautiful golden highlight called Sunbeam and it is from the Topshop makeup collection. I have no idea why I haven't been using this bad boy for the past few years but I am totally obsessed with it recently and especially when I have nice bronzed contoured skin. this is the perfect combination for summer time makeup. Brows are such a huge trend now. The bigger and more defined the better in my opinion. I have always used an eyeshadow to fill in my brows as it work best for me but in the last few months I have been using a wax and shadow to achieve the perfect brow for me. The Sleek brow kit is the perfect shade for my brows and I absolutely love the wax. Is holds and defines my brows but also keeps them looking natural which I like. Sleek is only recently come to the Irish market but I have been using it for years. It is so affordable but such good quality product. Check sleek out here - buy here

The last favourite of mine was also another gift from Suzanne. It is a product I have never used before. It is a multi-purpose dry oil for face, body & hair. This product nourishes and softens the skin and also give a beautiful glow to the skin and adds a sweet scent. This product is amazing for using down the centre of the legs or arms to give a sun kissed healthy glow to the body. It is a luxury item and smells absolutely divine. Click here - buy here

Let me know in the comments some of your favourite products of the past few months and what you think I need to try.
