I've been getting a lot of questions about Sienna's night time routine lately since I spoke about it on Snapchat. I started her routine pretty early on when we first took her home from the hospital and it's worked since then. It's my favourite part of the day and I just love the bond we have.
I start her routine off most nights with a warm bath, she plays for a while but the bath helps her to relax too. I use baby products which contain lavender and relaxing ingredients to help her sleep.
After her bath I give her a massage, this helps to relax her body and its just so nice. She loves it. I attended a baby massage class when Sienna was just 2 weeks old and learned how to massage her properly. My pregnancy yoga instructor Elaine runs the baby massage classes, I'll link her website here
After her massage I get her dressed in a clean vest and baby grow and have a cuddle. When she was newborn I always did skin to skin and she loved it but now that she's bigger she won't lie still. I play nursery rhymes from my spotify or read her a story and give her a feed. Sometimes I rock her on my rocking chair in her nursery. Without fail she falls asleep with no fuss or moaning. Its like she knows its bedtime and falls into a deep sleep.
This is just my routine and how I do things and I know it won't work for everyone and each baby is different but try a few things and find out what is best for you and your baby.
