Hey ladies,

Since uploading my last few transformation pictures I have been inundated with questions about how I lost the weight and i've been asked if I had tips when it comes to Slimming World or weight loss in general.

These before and after pictures keep shocking me.

Apart from eliminating all the junk and crap food I ate before, I also cut down and practically stop having a lot of food that I normally wouldn't have taken much notice of before. Some of the meals I ate, before my weight loss began, never crossed my mind as being unhealthy or that they were contributing to my weight gain.

I used to order a bagel or a wrap on my lunch break and think to myself I was being healthy because I didn't have a Mc Donalds or the likes. When I actually think about a wrap or a bagel they are extremely unhealthy. I would normally have it with mayo, cheese, hot chicken and salad with a side of crisps and washed down with a coffee. The only healthy part was the small bit salad on the side. There where so many factors that contributed to my gain but the minute I changed my diet the weight started to fall off me! Literally.

I started swapping many food for healthier options and stopped having butter, oils, sauces, full fat milk. I replaced these with light cream cheese, fry light spray, homemade syn free sauces, light mayo and skimmed milk. These are the little things you don't think of, well I certainly didn't. And I believe these changes have aided in the weight loss.

I stopped buying chocolate, fizzy drinks and crisps. I must of had one of each every few days. Now I have water and the odd bit of chocolate. My motto is, if you don't buy it you can eat it.

I have also cut back so much on cheese. Cheese was my weakness, I used to have it before I ate a cheese sambo and in between meals I would snack on a slice of cheese. Not anymore, now I limit myself to 30 grams, if even, of Low Low cheese a day.

I rarely have bread and when I am looking for something filling and satisfying like bread I have a slims bagels. If you follow my snapchat story and on Instagram you will have seen I am obsessed with them.

When I am hungry or on the go I always try to have some fruit with me or a healthy option. It is so hard to eat for convenience instead of for health reasons.

The reason I post these blog posts is to try and get you to look at your own diet and see is there anything you can change to make it healthier and cleaner. Are you happy with you weight or could you work on it? These are all the questions you need to ask yourself and if the answer is no then do something about it. You're the only one that can. Let my journey be your motivation and enable you to see that it can be done.

I hope you found this post helpful.

Stay healthy and happy!

Hey dolls,

Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here. YAY

Today I wanted to share with you how I stay motivated. This isn't necessarily just to do with weight loss, I adapt the same ideas to most aspects of my life when trying to stay motivated and positive.

Rule No. 1-Think of the bigger picture!

Sometimes we take on so much that it can get quite overwhelming. In these situations we focus on the now too much instead of the end result. I can relate to this on my levels when it comes to my weight loss journey. I find myself concentrating too much on the current situation or my current mood. It could be the bar of chocolate I want to eat for comfort reasons, or I am disappointed if I haven't lost weight in a particular weigh in. This is when I have to think to myself and reassure myself that I need to look at the bigger picture and focus on the end result and how far I have come already.

Rule No. 2 - Be positive & grateful!

I constantly write gratitude lists and try to be as positive about every situation and possible. I find being grateful for the things I have, makes me even happier when I get what I worked hard for. I am a sucker for list writing and I also write down what I want to achieve and set goals for myself constantly. This helps motivate me even more and work harder for the things I really want. I also find the power of positive thinking and the law of attraction helps keep me going as I am forever telling myself what I want is so achievable, I just need to work towards it. I always remind myself, if I want it bad enough I will get it.

Rule No.3 - Never give up!

Sometime we take on too much and end up dropping out or letting go of something we were once so passionate about. I always find the work in between what you want and what you actually achieve is very hard. To quote a Miley Cyrus song, haha,  its always gonna be an uphill battle! Which is true, the hardest part is the way up but once you reach the top, the skies the limit! Whenever I feel like quitting I always remind myself of why I started in the first place.

There has been several times in my life when I felt like quitting, all through university I felt like giving up and dropping out. I just kept pushing myself and got there in the end. I was so happy I didn't quit and got my BA degree in the end.

Remember, everything seems so much harder when you are in the midst of it but once you get there and reflect, you see that you where a stronger person for not letting it get the better of you.

The main reason I stay motivated in terms of weight loss is because I fell a million times better about myself, my clothes all look so much better on me now and I am motivated everyday by my amazing followers who constantly remind me that I am inspiring them to do the same.

I want to thank you all for your continued love and support. I am not gonna stop now and neither should you

Stay strong and stay motivated

Hey dolls,

So many people have been asking me what skincare products I use and I have wanted to write a review on my fave for the longest time. I have featured Kinvara Skincare on my YouTube Channel and on my Instagram but never gone in dept on the range before.

I started using the Active Rosehip Day Cream last June when SoSueMe gave me a pot to try. I always trust Suzanne with her recommendations because she knows her stuff when it comes to beauty. After I finished the day cream I knew I had to repurchase it and also wanted to try the Rosehip Face Serum as Sue had said it was one of her desert island products. Kinvara also sent me their award winning Absolute Cleansing Oil to try out.

I have been using these three products daily and I have to say I am obsessed. They not only smell so divine, they are so refreshing and nourishing on my skin. Each product has its own unique smell and is infused with so many organic ingredients. The thing I love about all the Kinvara products is the way my skin feels just after I have applied them. My skin always feels so soft and the products are so luxurious, I feel like I've been for a facial everyday.

Lets get into each product indiviually.

Active Rosehip Day Cream - €24

This baby is by far my favourite product from the range. It smells of lavender which if one of my favourite scents, it also leaves my skin feeling like silk without any residue left on my skin. I can apply my foundation almost immediately after apply this cream and it provides an even canvas so that my foundation glides on flawlessly.

It is clear from the list of ingredients that Kinvara only use the best and most natural. I read on the Kinvara website that they love the old adage that, 'Food is medicine'! So if 93% of their ingredients are from edible food source, then it says a lot about their products.

Rosehip Face Serum - €28

This face serum is unlike any serum I have ever tried before, it is so fresh and packed full of amazing fruit extracts and essential oils, it leaves my skin so smoothe and refreshed. I use it twice daily before my face cream and sometimes, this alone is enough to hydrate my skin. I sometimes apply two pumps of the serum on days when my skin is looking a little dull. By morning it is glowing and plump again.

I cant rate this serum high enough. It is so amazing.

Absolute Cleansing Oil - €20

After featuring this cleanser in my January Favourites video the Kinvara team contacted me to let me know I wasn't using the product correctly and to get the most from this product you are supposed to use it on damp skin, massage it in for a minute or two and rinse off with warm water and a face cloth. Since then this product has been a game changer. I have never found a cleanser that removes a full face of makeup and removes the Inglot waterproof eyeliner and the Benefit They're Real mascara so easily. This absolute cleansing oil breaks down everything and removes all dirt, oils and makeup in minutes. It use this with the Nima Mitt and it makes taking my make up so much more of a pleasure than a chore.

Hands down best makeup remover I have ever used.

If you are looking to change up our  skincare routine and invest in some good quality products that your skin will thank you for, then I recommend trying out Kinvara Skincare. It gets two massive thumbs up from me and I can't see myself changing my skincare products anytime soon.

As long as Kinvara keep making them I will keep buying them.

I hope you liked that review and let me know in a comment if you have tried any of these products.

Hi my loves,

I think I may have found my new favourite baby doll pink lip combination ever!

As you all know I am a huge NYX fan, not only because they are so affordable but because the quality of their stuff is outstanding. As a makeup artist, finding good quality products you can trust is amazing, I am constantly on the look out for new hot products.

This baby pink combination is perfect for valentines day or all year round. It will have the boys falling over you.

First up in this foursome (no pun intended haha) is this stunning "my lips but better" lipliner in the shade "860 Peekaboo Neutral" It creates the perfect base on the lips and even looks natural when over -drawing your lips. We all want those Kylie Jenner lips, don't we.

This beautiful matte lipstick in the shade "Audrey" is just gorgeous worn alone but topped off with the Butter Gloss  in "Merengue" is a match made in heaven.

I am not the biggest lover of matte lipsticks as they can be quiet drying and irritate my lips so I always like to apply a gloss and there are no glosses that compare to the butter glosses from NYX. They are buttery soft and silky smooth, never sticky and smell divine :)

If you are more of a one woman lip product person, then the jumbo lip pencil is for you. This jumbo lip pencil in "720 Honey Nectar" glides on, is packed full of pigment and fills in your lips for that Kylie-esque look we all desire. This is a run out the door but still look fabulous type of product and has found a new home in my handbag.

Everyone always asked where you can buy NXY in Ireland so I will leave their full stock list here for you :)

Let me know if there is any other NYX products you think I should try.

Go forth now and buy :)

Hi ladies,

Today I bring you exciting news of a brand new product that is launching with Benefit Cosmetics on the 28th of January.

I was kindly invited to the launch of Benefit's brand new mascara "Roller Lash" on Wednesday and was so excited to attend. I met with my amazing Youtuber friends, Melanie Murphy and Eimear Byrne and we headed to the event.

We were blown away at the amazing set up Benefit had for this launch party. A huge truck was fully decked out to resemble a 60's hair salon. It was incredible and we were all very excited to hear about Benefits new baby. Mark Rogers spoke and demoed the new mascara and went into so much detail about the research and reasoning behind "Roller Lash" which I am very honoured to be able to share with you now.

Benefit wanted to create a mascara that would cater to customers with very straight lashes and  smaller eyes. They wanted to create something that would really curl, lift and hold the lashes in place all day, and that, they did. The inspiration behind Benefits "Roller Lash" was hair rollers. They are the one hair tool that women have used for years and that work best. They wanted to create a mascara that would mimic hair rollers and that was when "Roller Lash" mascara was born.

Months of research and development (with a few tiny hiccups along the way) went into creating this product.

The end result is outstanding and can be see for themselves in below pictures.

The lashes appear lifted, fuller and blacker than black. Exactly what all women want!

I tested it myself :)

BEFORE

 AFTER

My review and demo of Roller Lash

Let's get into the mechanics of this product

The Brush -
The brush or wand of a mascara is the most important factor when considering a good mascara. It can make or break a look. Benefit created a few different brushes before hitting the jackpot with this bad boy. It is almost invisible to the naked eye but this brush contains tiny hooks (like those in hair rollers) that catch and lift each hair of your lashes creating the curl we all desire!

You can barely see them in this photograph but believe me they are there :)

The Formula -
The formula itself also plays a vital roll in the overall payoff of mascara application. Benefit has created a formula for "Roller Lash" that has 12-hour curve setting power (tried and tested). Perfect ink black shade, lash conditioning ingredients (which protect and repair lashes and help to build up the mascara) and is also easy to remove (unlike "They're Real"). With all of these combined, Benefit has created the perfect mascara for every lady. What more could we ask for.

The Wiper -
This is a part of the product that many people aren't aware of and is the part inside the mascara tube that prevents too much mascara from leaving the tube and delivers the precise amount of product for ideal payoff.

The Results -

97% said it visibly lifts lashes
87% said it gives long-lasting curl
94% said eyes look more wide open!

Now all thats left for me to say is go out and pick a tube up for yourself to see how amazing it is! I was blown away by this product and couldn't wait to get home and try it out myself.

Hope you enjoys & stay tuned for more :)

Hi my loves,

Today I am going to share my top highlighter with you, some a old some are new. Let me know in a comment what your favourites are.

Ok I know I talk about this highlighter to death but it really is the best one ever. I have seen so many people mention it in the best of 2014 videos and all of my favourite and well trusted beauty blogger rave about it. I am totally obsessed with The Balm "Mary Lou-Manizer" It is the most beautiful highlighter and I wear it on a daily basis. It is so finely milled and doesn't have large chunks of glitter like most highlighters have. I just love it and cant get enough of it.

Buy it here

Next is a product that I also wear daily and it is strobe cream from Mac. I love this underneath my foundation or just on my cheeks on days when I don't want to wear foundation. It gives a stunning glow and really illuminates your makeup. This product can also be mixed in with your foundation to give it more of a glow.

Buy it here

A new product to my makeup collection is this "Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid" from NO. 7. I have only been using it for the last month but I am very impressed. I like to wear this on days when I am going for a warmer more golden tone to my look. It works exactly like the strobe cream but is a more golden tone. I apply it under my foundation to give my skin a dewy finish.

Buy it here

"Soft & Gentle" from MAC is an oldie but a goodie. I love this highlighter for myself and also on clients. It goes amazing with all skin tone and it lasts forever. It have a beautiful champagne tone to it.

Buy it here

These next two products have been pushed to the back of my makeup drawer and I have only really started to use them again this month and realised how much I loved them. "High Beam" and "Moon Beam are old products of benefits but they are so gorgeous and have lasted me years. They blend beautifully into my foundation to give a gorgeous highlight. I love the glow from moon beam it is the more golden toned highlight.

Buy it here

Has anyone tried the hourglass ambient lights highlighters? They are next on my list :)

Thanks for reading

Hey girls & guys.

Sometimes trying to get your head around the different types of makeup brush out there can be a hard job especially if you are a newbie to makeup. Today I want to share with you some of my favourite brushes.

My top pick for a foundation brush would be the "F24" from Blank Canvas Cosmetics. In past years I have always used a flat top kabuki style brush from sigma but in 2014 I was converted to this round top foundation brush. It is the best brush I have ever used for foundation and makes apply it effortless. It leaves no brush strokes and I have had the most flawless looking foundation since using this brush. I highly recommend all brushes from BCC and you can buy the F24 here

Next brush is also from Blank Canvas Cosmetics and it is the "F40" brush. This baby is a smaller fluffier version of the F24 and I love this for applying my cream contour. It helps to blend out my contour so easily and blends it into my foundation perfectly. I love this brush so much it is one of my all time faves.

Shop this brush here

This brush is a new one for me and I love it to apply primer or my strobe cream with it. I especially love this brush to use on clients. I used to use my mac brush but I find the brush from "Face up to it cosmetics" gives me better control when working on a clients face. It is also super soft.

You can check out these brushes here

This small powder brush from Crown Brush is my all time favourite brush for setting your under eye concealer. It is so amazingly soft and I love to use this with my banana powder.

You can buy this brush here

Again from Crown Brush is this gorgeous fluffy blending brush ( C441 ) that is a dupe for the MAC 217 and is perfect for eyeshadow and bending colours into the crease. I love how soft it is and gives a seamless blend to all eyeshadow. If you only could have one blending brush then this is my recommendation.

Last from Crown Brush is the eyebrow brush that I have had for years. It is a life saver when it comes to brows as it is double ended with a spoolie on one end and a angled brush on the other. It makes filling in your brows so simple as I usually find that part of my makeup more of a chore.

Find this brush here

Last brush is from real techniques and it is the large blush brush. I am obsessed with this brush for my blusher and couldnt finish my makeup without it. It is so soft and the large shape of this brush makes blending your blush so easy. I also love the fact that the handle is pink :)

Shop this brush here

I hope you liked that post. This would be a great starter kit for anyone as it includes all brushes you need to create a beautiful look.

Hi lovelies,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. As you may have already read I posted my favourite makeup products a couple of days ago and that seemed to go down well with you all so I thought I would post my favourite beauty products of the year too.

Read my favourite makeup products of 2014 here

Starting of with this years top tan and best selling tan is Ireland is Cocoa Brown. I am a huge fan of this tan and have tried most of the range it has to offer. I love the spray tan, as do many of my clients. It give a gorgeous brown that lasts almost a week long.

Next is my must have cleanser. This bad boy was a new release this year and took the beauty world by storm. It is technically a dupe for the bioderma but works just as well. This takes off all traces of makeup and eye makeup and is so affordable and widely available.

OMG I cant say enough about this moisturiser. It was a present and I fell in love as soon as I used it. It smells divine and leaves my skin baby soft. I just ran out of it this week and it is killing me not having it. I need to place an order with Kinvara ASPA.

If you haven't tried this brand yet I urge you to do so soon

I recently blogged about this facial oil here and I am in love with it. It leaves my skin so unbelievably soft and the smell of it is unreal. If you want a full review just click the link above to read.

This product is also new to the market this year and is perfect for anyone that want to moisturise their body on the go. The spray application and fast drying of this lotion makes it perfect for that last minute moisturising. I also think this product is perfect for holidays as while you apply it it is very cold on the skin and perfect to soothe any sunburn.

I have been using this scrub from St Ives for the past 3 years now and loving it. It is a gentle enough exfoliant to use a few times weekly and cleans out and removes all dead skin leaving behind fresh, soft glowing skin.

I am loving this intense cream from La Roche-posay. I use this morning and night as a serum underneath my face cream and it firms and tones my skin. It also contains retinal which rejuvenates my skin

This night detox from Vichy is also brand new to the market and I love it as I tend to have an oily T zone. This little bottle helps to combat the production of sebum which gives that oiliness to your skin.

If it gets ride of the 12 o clock shine then I love it.

I love the fact that Youtubers are now coming out with their own lines of beauty products and I also love Zoella so had to feature her in this blog post. This is also a very hydrating body lotion that smells amazing and the packaging is super cute. WINNER

Finally a brand new product that only launched this mouth and I was kindly asked to review first is this amazing self tan corrector from No More Dramas. I have a full review on this product and If you want to read it then just click here I am such a huge fan of it and definitely think that you need to try this for the new year :)

Makes tanning so much easier.

I hope you enjoyed that blog post, Thanks for reading and let me know what your favourite beauty products of 2014 were :)
